Walmart Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Black Panther Movie Premiers in Dallas

The Marvels Black Panther was a groundbreaking movie that shook the entertainment industry with a massive cultural shift that was long overdue.

Black consumers were excited to finally see a major Black hero that featured a majority-Black cast on the big screen.

HelloPitch partnered with Walmart to create regional premier Black Panther Watch Parties hosted by Texas celebrity Kirk Franklin.

Walmart recognized the cultural significance of Black Panther and decided to showcase the movie in a unique way, and to give local Black consumers an opportunity to come together and celebrate the movie's success.

The watch parties were a massive success, and they created an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended.

The partnership between Walmart and the studio was an excellent example of how brands can align themselves with cultural moments to create a memorable experience for their consumers. It was a win-win situation for both Walmart and the studio, and it showcased the power of partnerships in the entertainment industry.

North Texans were excited to have the chance to be one of the first to see Black Panther thanks to a private screening sponsored by Walmart.

Attendees made their way to Walmart earlier in the week to receive free tickets.

Kirk Franklin hosted an official screening bringing joy and delight to the crowd.

With more than three showings at two locations, Webb Chapel AMC and Studio Movie Grill (75 and Royal), locals had the opportunity for a photo op and a meet and greet. They were joined by media, influencers and fellow fans of Black Panther.

DFW media coverage and attendance included CBS11, CW33, WFAA8 and FOX4. More than $110,000 in localized PR Value reaching over 400,000.
